Thought I'd start a happy thread.

My kids are a constant source of pride and inspiration. Today my 18yr old girl has landed herself an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic at a BMW main dealer.

Who said single dad's can't raise em right...

That's definitely a proud Dad moment. Well done to her.

I'm happy as I've booked to go to a concert at the Royal Albert Hall next year.

Cheers guys.

She's had a rough time recently but she's stuck to her guns and worked hard for this. She's hoping one day to have her own garage that caters mainly for women who don't feel confident when dealing with male mechanics.

That is brilliant news and a great aspiration to work towards. Well done to her for her hard work and to you for supporting her.

Will you be more lenient on BMW now?

So you're sending her in to steal the secret plans and subvert their operations?

Let's hope she makes it to chief executive and then you can take over the world, and sell out to Alfa.

Just ordered her a load of BMW Haynes manuals and I'll be taking her to see my Snap-On rep next week. Suppose I also better stock up on Swarfeger too!

I think there's a real gap in the market for a garage like that. I have many female friends who feel very uncomfortable dealing with garages.
