Those shower hoods grandmas used to have, like a plastic headscarf for the rain.

All grandmas and aunties had them in the pocket of their handbags

Something just reminded me of them.

My Nanna always had imps. The little black sweets. I remember eating them when I was a kid but when I tried one recently I thought I would never get that disgusting taste out of my mouth. Don't even know what they're supposed to be flavoured of.

blow football..it came in a big massive colourful box adorned with pictures of famous footballers on the front..then you excitingly open up the box to find 2 fucking plastic straws two plastic goals and little plastic ball about the size of a marble..

Used to go to the Saturday matinee with my sister, we had 10p each. 8p to get in the cinema and 2p for sweets, you could by a packet of opal fruits or 4 1/2pe NY sweets

Clackers!

The days being longer and sunnier.

Playing out on bikes, messing down the river, from morning till night, without a care in the world. Dens building dens.. Climbing trees, yes I was a Tom boy.. Teenage years, travelling everywhere, on the back of a motorcycle, unbekown to mother!

I'm a bit younger than some so beer has always been over a pound for me.

What I do remember from my youth was finding old porn mags stashed in a bush in the local bushes, was the closest to owning porn.

And who can forget a wick snog and slipping a finger with a girl knowing getting caught wouldn't get you on the sex offenders register.

Used to have to sit their with a flannel over my eyes when my mum washed my hair because that hoorible stuff stung so much

`Going out to play` not just going out but going out at 9 in the moring and mabe have a bag of crisp and and drink from any hose pipe we could find (and not dying kids) before returning home just as mum was dishing up the dinner. All this without her worring where we have been ,without telling everyone on facebook where we have been and without even knowing what the time was.
