Good evening Fabbers

I hope you had a jolly day , and nobody got too blown away in this wind.

Its definitely not the weather for kits. One good gust and “we’re not in Kansas anymore Toto “

The Pooch and I had a lovely stroll through the woods on to the hill. Despite the weather the sun sent shafts of light to the woodland floor , dappled light through the canopy leaves.

Our Ipoddies tuned to Bruce Springsteen, Live from Hammersmith Odeon from 1975. When the Odeon was still the Hammy “O” NOT the Apollo .

One track gave the opportunity for a lively debate. The track was Jungle Land. The amazing saxophone solo by the late and much missed Clarence Clemmons. We debated, which was our favourite saxophone solo in any song that we knew? Many songs were thrown up as we walked and talked . The pooch was adamant this favourite was the solo in a song by Hazel O’Conner

So tonight we are asking you

Which is your favourite saxophone solo in a song ?

Me ..Jungle Land , Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band , preferably a live version.

The Pooch .. Stay Now By Hazel O’Connor

What’s yours ? have fun

Hinckley

October in Ankara - Nicolas Meier; Gilad Atzmon's playing on that is extraordinary...probably a lot more 'difficult jazz' than anything else on this thread so far!

Every single track by Madness?? Always a solo even if very short at times!!

Never tear us apart is an absolute classic regardless of the sax!!
