I put myself in hospital for 3 days after eating a carrier bag full of birdseye chillis for a bet.

I've eaten a ghost chilli and it wasn't a pleasant experience. My kids bought me some chocolate laced with Trinidad scorpion chilli, which is hotter, I've only managed 3 squares so far!

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

Ghost peppers, which held the Guinness world record between 2007 and 2011, hit about 1,001,000 on the Scoville scale. But in early 2012, a new variety of scorpion pepper was accepted into the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s hottest. Native to Trinidad and Tobago, it is so named for the pointed bottom of the fruit, which indeed resembles the stinger of a scorpion. The Butch T variety of the scorpion pepper (named after Butch Taylor, the American who developed it) blows the ghost pepper out of the water at 1,463,700 Scovilles.

Just where I need to be.

I have grown Dorset naga chillies. I remember licking a bit of juice. No way would I eat one. I stick to growing Apache chillies .

A Mexican friend of mine gave me a taste of a sauce called 'Da Bomb'.

It comes in at 1,500,000 scovilles. The hit isn't instant, it starts off hot and then after a few seconds it's a full on assault on the senses. Eyes start pouring, nose starts running profusely, sweating heavily. Then came the giddyness, difficulty breathing and hiccups. This lasted about 40 minutes regardless of how much milk and yoghurt I drank.

Yes please. I got some sauce for Xmas from one of my workmates that's used by truckers to stay awake in India. One drop on the tongue is so hot you almost become euphoric.

It's still nearly full as it goes a long way.

Was at a party at uni once with a load of rugby lads who were all trying to impress the girls by showing them how hard they were. It started with necking drinks, and eventually one guy decided to stick his cock in a jar of chillies.

To this day I've yet to hear anyone scream louder...!

My six year old daughter once ate a bit of one by accident. It was so funny. I've never seen her drink so much water. She brags about it often.
