most boring topic for discussion would have to be "what do people talk about in your kitchen at work"...

...it always seems to be about work, someone else's kids (not even the kids of the person discussing them), holidays that you never went on so really would not be interested in or what they had for dinner the night before and is subsequently being re-heated in the microwave....
