From another thread... do you prefer ladies with make-up or without?

I'm not talking applied with a trowel and looking like you've face-planted crayola (unless that is your penchant)

I very rarely go out without at least some make up on - eyeliner, a face cream and lippy minimum... and full face for work/nights out etc. I also wear semi-permanent eyelash extensions - I feel happier with them.

But a few folks think ladies look better without make up.

Thoughts?

I look a hell of a lot better with makeup but I don't put loads on.

Just enough to make me feel better, I don't care what others think. I do it for myself.

I always make my thoughts clear on those threads

But yes, well applied makeup can completely transform your face. I go from looking tired and blotchy and a bit spotty and pale (if I go to work without my normal makeup on every single person I come into contact with will ask me if I'm ill) to looking pretty. I have good features, and able to shine with the assistance of makeup by enhancing the good and concealing the bad.

Well applied is key here. Other threads have referred to fake tan, filled eyebrows, fake eyelashes as the stereotypical "too much makeup" look. Well I do all of those, but I do them well.

i like make-up. in small doses. if a woman has beautiful eyes why not enhance that with a touch of mascara or eyeliner, we do it with clothes, not to make ourselfs look different, just to enhance how we look.

fake tan, thick foundation and all the rest isnt enhancing its changing n thats not for.me i like to see the person in there too.

I really enjoy make up and I like that I can look different. Most days though I go to work without make up on but I'm blessed with good skin. I'd never put make up on just to go to the shops or something. I do love getting all glammed up for a night out though!

Depends where I'm going and my mood. I'm not a fan of makeup really and prefer the natural look so just a little eye liner and mascara but if I want to look abit glam shall we say I'll do the whole foundation, eyeshadow the works (still not over the top but enough to notice a difference)

I'd love to have a proper makeover with all the blending done ect. just to see how good it looks on me cos it does wonders on some.........so anyone who can do this your welcome to come and experiment lol

as I said on the other thread I prefer not to wear it, I very rarely do, I only wear it if I have a meet because I feel it's expected of women to wear make up when going out, but even then I wear natural colours and not a lot, I put face powder over BB cream rather that wear foundation cream, I do have pretty good skin though maybe if I didn't I'd feel different

naturally i was auburn as a child but no idea what colour i am these days,, just know my lashes are light.

there was a stage of my life where id apply a lot of make up but these days im very slack in my ways n let myself go unless i'm specifically going out.

hair in a scruffy bun or pony tail.. and bit of mascara thats me done.. school run, work, shopping.. blah

I don't need to wear make up, I have good skin & look younger bare faced.

But I enjoy wearing make up, experimenting with new looks / techniques & overall I truly believe well applied make up enhances a woman's natural beauty.

If I'm going out the makeup bag comes out.

The only thing I cannot go without, on a day to day basis is a bit of blusher.. Without it Im pale and look like I've been dug up!

If I've pulled a sickie (not that I ever do that anymore) I would go to work the next day without blusher, because guaranteed, everyone will say I still look a bit peaky.

I don't wear it every day. Like I said on the other thread, putting it on is part of the going out/getting ready ritual for me and I like the fact it can transform my eyes. I am getting better with the lipstick thing as well following some good advice on here. I have even been known to wear blusher occasionally. So I like wearing make-up and experimenting with it but not all the time.

Depends on the occasion, I like the effort women go to if that's what they want to do...they know better than most as to what works. No one is looking like the Joker from Batman

Weirdly I like it when make up is left smudged on my shirt/clothes and the morning after look too.

All I need is lip balm in my pocket
