So Sepp Blatter is re elected as chairman of the most corrupt organisation in the modern world.

EUFA Threaten to boycott the world cup but we all know this won't happen.

Every nation gets a vote, of course you'd stick with the king of bribe culture....it's the obviously better off countries generally that are saying its a sham etc...

There is a smoking gun somewhere, I expect to see a whole series of information coming out in the next few days and weeks. I'd love to know who pushed him.

My guess is that it will have been the pressure from sponsors threatening to withdraw all the lovely lolly.

There were serious noises being made about forming a breakaway world cup - glad he's gone, but FIFA hasn't been fit for purpose for decades.

I think they should scrap fifa and start again, or carry on and form a breakaway group and totally undermine and demolish it - but I can't see that happening

None of the sponsors had been too explicit. FIFA has expertly played off the major global brands for years knowing the competitive tension would keep them in check. I'm sure there would have been some conversations, but I'm sure there is much more to it than that.

There may well be but he's Swiss in Switzerland.

Competitors sometimes come together to agree a way forward if they all want the same thing. Maybe being played off against each other has finally proved to be too much for some of the big players.

If something about Blatter comes out resulting in his arrest I'll give you a treat.

Looking forward to what that treat could be.

He wouldn't have gone without good reason. His deputy seems to have wrote a letter acknowledging a 10m payment to Jack Warner.

Blather will be arrested in the next 3 months I think. Unless he is trying to get a deal with either the Swiss authorities or the fbi

The FBI is publishing Chuck Blazer's information tomorrow, so it may have something to do with that. I fully expect to see email leaks relating to salaries, expenses and all sorts in the coming days. I hope Andrew Jennings is feeling rightly proud. In an age where we associate journalists with hacking and bad behaviour, his investigative works shows the best of his profession.

By his own admission he has no life outside Fifa, so I can imagine at his age, he might well enjoy the process of defending himself and staying in the limelight ...... he seems to thrive on being at the centre of controversy and I'm sure he feels he's done no wrong....

In a perverse way it'll probably extended his shelf life way beyond what would have happened had he just faded away once a successor finally takes office..

Just been on the news Jack Warner (one of old Sepps mates) has been banned from any football related activity for life by fifa ethics committee.

Now we just need fifa to do the same with Sepp Blatter and the future of world football will start to look a little bit better.
