It was meant to happen on Monday/ Tuesday

Thankfully (for me) it didn't and my trip to Lincoln was without a hitch

Its about this years pay deal and also about long term job security. On the Operations side especially, most signal boxes are due to close over the next few years and there is need to have a no compulsory redundancy agreement. Despite what some elements of the press have written, this strike hasn't been called just because Labour lost the election! These talks have been going on since October last year.

The staff are not being greedy, all they want is a fair pay rise and a commitment to job security. The RMT is doing what a good Union should be doing.
