Embarassing true stories.....

As an 18 year old I was awoken to crippling stomach pains, ended up in A&E where I was advised by a doctor to stand and bend over the bed. Me being trusting thought nothing of it, perhaps this position relieves the pain. But no, unbeknown to me 3 or 4 junior doctors had proceeded to lube up a finger and took it in turns to put said finger up my arse. Apparently its to check your appendix. Strangely though the event hasnt scarred me and these days one is quite partial to the odd finger.

Anyone else have any stories to tell?

Last month, went into a walk in STI clinic in Houston for a routine check up.

Woman at reception in an open plan office smiles sweetly and says "Good morning sir, can I help you".

Me: "Yes, I've an appointment for an HIV and STI test".

Her: "This is an insurance office, you should be next door".

Have to say that this falls very soundly within the sphere of malpractice - explicit (pardon the pun) permission must be obtained from any conscious and lucid patient before any kind of internal examination.

On the other hand - I'd be quite happy to find myself in such a position as long as all the doctors were women.

It's when they're checking you with a finger and you realise that they've got both hands on your shoulders that you need to worry.

I went to the STI clinic as I thought I'd caught something. I was horrified as I've never had anything before but I left even more horrified after being told it was a sex toy trauma and to calm down
