I think they meant a shocking attitude in general because it's been proved quite often that people can be accused and prosecuted for crimes they didn't commit. That's all.

If the accusations are true it's terrible but if they aren't it's pretty bad too.

Why should anyone?

The point is, it happens. Whether it's because you happen to be connected to the wrong person or are in the wrong place at the wrong time and attitudes like yours convict innocent people or at the least tar their name for the rest of their lives.

Stafford

Problem is FIFA officials have been getting away with systematic corruption for years. And they're from all over the world so the problem is for Swiss police to collect the evidence to convict.

My money is on them being released later in the week and Sepptic Blatter getting re-elected by the people who benefit financially from him being in charge.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Is this all building to Blatter being implicated in something, anything? Interesting that it's the FBI and in Switzerland.

They're not the first FIFA officials to be arrested, I'll wait to see what they are charged with and, more importantly, what results come from it.

No doubt that football's most powerful man has to go, but he'll win the next election. A shame, as football is one of the biggest sports in the world and needs more positivity at the top.

The FBI operate all over the world to protect American interests and also support various agencies from other countries. Funnily enough the only agencies they fail to cooperate with are other American agencies!

I know. It's the fact that it's them (so what American interests are they really concerned about) and in a country where people go to hide their money dealings. Two interesting jurisdictions.

Very Timely considering the upcoming elections and the identity of the man standing against Sepp Blatter.

Been strong rumours of corruption for years.

Apparently all the ones arrested so far are from the american/central american region, so apart from money they could be concerned about football too
