How many people wanna get out of bed or want to do something..... But don't because 'you've suddenly come down with a bug' ...... You wake up and 'you've got a headache'...... How many people will admit..... Maybe you're making an excuse and setting yourself up to just not wanting to do anything that day?

You probably have a mental illness.... (depression, bdp, )

Please don't preach, please don't go on at us, we are experienced in this field.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's a fairly common behaviour with depression.

When I'm down I have to set myself target times for getting up.

If I find it hard to get up I monitor myself more closely. I'm 40 years into being a depressive so I don't assign a physical illness to my inability to get up anymore but I know I did before I knew and accepted my depression.

I'm not sure what preaching or going on at you expect.

Not sure I understand the post but NN is spot on. (Always is).

There is no disconnection between physical and mental health. Both deserve the same standing of high importance and not to be disregarded.

I usually get up way too early but do struggle with low mood a fair bit, most months. It can influence me to displace things from my priorities, to give myself a breather. Respecting ourselves is incredibly important, so if we don't listen to what we need, we're doing ourselves disservice.

I wholly believe that a mental illness should receive the same emergency treatment as a broken leg, and that goes for any mental illhealth receiving similar funding as the health service and physical health.....but I don't relly understand the thrust of your thread OP
