" I don't find it hard as such, just takes me some time to think through the situation and then realise an apology is owed. If I'm in the wrong though, generally I'll apologise and explain myself

"I don't like saying it, but if I'm in the wrong i will Why don't you like to say it? No one likes admitting they're wrong, do they? " I don't know. I will always apologise if my actions have caused hurt, distress, upset whatever. And I mean it. Sometimes an apology is all that is needed. But it has to be through voice, texts and emails just don't do it.

"Why you asking? Who's apologised and what have they done? And, why don't you believe it was hard for them to say sorry?.... " Hahaha would you like a spade for your digging? I often find those that sit on their horse, which is ever so high, are the ones least likely to apologise

I called him and he said that the text I'd previously sent him had sounded like I was planning to do something without him. I wasn't, as I include him in everything and had assumed that went without saying, but it had obviously bothered him so I immediately apologised

Some people immediately get defensive when they are wrong, which then turns into a bigger issue than if they had just said sorry.

""Apologizing doesn't always mean you are wrong...Sometimes it just means you value your relationships more than your ego." It doesn't actually matter - if someone has been hurt, regretting that and putting it right is the most important thing, so I never mind saying sorry. " Perfectly put

"Saying sorry isn't easy, sometimes through embarrassment, sometimes through pig headedness. But I do, and am sincere about it. And I agree with Mav in that txt or mail is crap. It has to be personal and heartfelt, so the minimum of a call if you're able to " Iv received a sorry via a phone call and it didn't mean jack shit

"It's not always about ego. I won't apologise if I'm not in the wrong, and I don't want people I have relationships with to do so either because I think it creates the wrong balance. If everyone is apologising to everyone else all the time then it means nothing when you say it and actually mean it." Oh I agree, my ex was a master at the meaningless platitude, and some people will apologise for breathing almost. But that's not what I mean. If I have made an error I have no problem apologising for that, but even if I have not, I can still express regret at a situation and a desire to restore harmony, and that always helps I believe.

"How to say sorry - genuinely. Say "I'm Sorry." Acknowledge what you did/said that was stupid/insensitive/inconsiderate/wrong. Acknowledge the consequences of it. Apologise for the additional suffering caused. Say what you are going to do to fix the problem (if possible) and change the behaviour to avoid it in the future. Ask if that's enough to resolve and put it behind you both. Apologising isn't about putting up a defence or diverting blame, or continuing an argument. It's about making things right in a situation where you care about the person you wronged more than you care about your own bloody silly pride. (This is from Mr., having learned the above over many years practise of being an idiot.) " Can I find a man like you please sir
