Is this a dated look or acceptable for smart/casual these days?

I like it, but not all can carry it off.

The Jeremy Clarkson

I've reached the age of jeans with shoes, but not jackets yet, didn't realise that was coming

I was thinking with a plain white t shirt underneath, just sorting out my wardrobe and it crossed my mind

Trainers or baseball boots really finish the look off

Slim black, maroon or brown jeans or chinos, oxblood or brown brouges, and the right jacket can look the epitome of smart casual.

Do this one wrong and yep, you're clarkson.

Buy a proper jacket cut for the look.

Being honest

This does the job for me.

A man turning up in unfitted jeans and trainers isnt for me.

I'm normally in work scruffs or casual, just trying to look a little smarter.

Works with the right jacket - a blazer or t, and a classic cut.

I've not worn jeans in about 15 years. I'd much rather wear dark chinos with brogues or stylish trainers. I also have 3 Blazers, all from Zara.

This combination is a travesty of sartorial taste and elegance. A fashion faux pas extraordinaire. Gaultier would be turning in his grave if he were in one.

Try getting no blazer rather than a suit jacket, the suit jacket would just look out of place

Point Nemo, Cumbria

I'm from the north so I don't give a shit what I wear as long as I don't look like Clarkson.
