Here's a good pertinent question for a Sunday!! Assume it has been asked before probably lol

And a Christian be a swinger!! I have made a few visits to church recently mainly to support my ex wife as we still live as friends! And there has been obvious feelings around getting more into it myself!

If I do will I have to leave the world of fab??

I go to church and I don't feel it conflicts with my sex life. I'm not cheating on anyone or causing harm.

only if you belief in god, god created sin. I don't believe in god so I can't sin.

What do priests think about swinging and Christianity?

It's the 21st Century - people twist the tenets of their religion in whichever way they want to suit their lifestyle. Seems a bit hypocritical in some cases, but each to their own.

Churches used to run brothels so why should the church worry about swingers?

Our relationship ended because of our my bi-sexual side and she reckons that to be a real Christian I can't do that anymore!!

I don't see any issue in sex and Christianity as we are made to fornicate as long as I don't do it in the church!!

According to the bible/pope:

All sex other than within a marriage and for the procreation of children is bad.

Affairs with your cleaner are okay.

Wearing a condom is bad.

Forced sex with someone you have captured is okay.

Wanking is bad.

Most Christians have learnt to temper their morals to suit their own view of the world. So no, don't worry, do whatever you feel comfortable doing.

Stick with the "Do unto others as you would have done to you" mantra. It's simpler.

Good luck

I suspect she was using her Christianity as a stick with which to beat you. I would say your relationship ended because she didn't respect you for who you were.

It's quite hard to follow all the parts of the Bible. Like don't shave the corners of your beard, throw stones at adulterers, don't where 2 different types of material at the same time, you cannot sit somewhere that a menstruating woman has previously sat etc. Etc.

But Jesus didn't get married? Or have children? Or have a proper job, or mow the lawn, or drive a car, or eat pizza, or fuck about on the internet, or use a mobile phone, or go on a plane, or use eBay or Amazon

If we all did what Jesus did, we'd all be fucked!

A few Christian users on fab. I'm atheist but we all interpret our spiritual meaning and rules differently. I know some Christians who have no sex before or outside of marriage, others who shag anything.

Think it's something to ponder on. How important is sex, in the grand scheme of things?

Well without it we'd all be up the creek but I know what you mean. I often say to people when they're getting stressed about stuff like God and sex that God (if she exists) wouldnt actually care about stuff like that, she would only care if you weren't kind and enjoyed bombing the hell out of people.

According to Rambam, getting married is highly recommended, even for a rabbi, but is not an absolute requirement.

No evidence to suggest she was a prostitute. That was just a rumour started by a pope (can't remember which one), to help keep the catholic church a patricide. If you were not as virginal as his mother, then you were no better than whore. They didn't like grey areas back then.

Also, swinger isn't the same as prostitute - more to the point.

Sad on this site that someone seems to think it is.

And although Jesus is referred to as "Rabbi" in some chapters in the bible he was only being called this by one or two of his disciples. They were calling him Rabbi as this translates to as teacher or scholar it doesn't mean he held the title of spiritual leader.

Different denominations have different views on sexual identity.

If you're a member of a hardline Catholic church, a high Anglican church or of some of the evangelical churches I would expect conflict ahead, internal conflict if not issues with your minister and other members of the congregation.

Other denominations are far more inclusive and accepting.

Jesus was married. It is possible that Mary Magdalene was his wife. Jesus had a brother named James. James was the first pope. Catholic Christianity does not recognise James as pope although orthodox Christianity does. Various Christian franchises can't even agree on how many books make up the bible. 72 or 67.

James was only leader of the Christians in Jerusalem , although he was held in high regard, but never Pope.
