Off to do a bit of shopping and thinking of investing in proper pair of quality jeans. They're not cheap though - what do you think is a reasonable price to pay for decent denim? How high would you go?

I used to buy expensive ones (£100+) but now I have some Dr Denim ones I love that were £50, and some £10 Primark ones I love equally much.

I have spent silly money on jeans before but as I get older the price I pay comes down

£30-£50 is where I'm at now but always looking for a bargain!

For men's jeans I'd say £80-£100 if they're a good quality and good fit (and you're going to wear them a lot!) I think there are more good cheaper options for women so mine are probably more like £35, although I don't wear jeans that often anyway.

A good tk max sometimes has great jeans. Bit of a lottery...but can pic up something individual and special...but you could walk out with nothing. With jeans fit is everything.

I wear black levi's only - I don't think blue suits me.

I usually pay around £5 a pair from charity shops, though these days the 2nd hand vintage shops are buying them up and I might have to fork out a tenner for my next pair

Used to wear Evisu at around £200 a pair. Now happy to settle for some Diesels at about £70 as they are well put together.

Bought a pair from next a couple of weeks ago at £20 I left the shop very happy. Think I am getting sensible as I get older

Well I went shopping and came back with a £9 pair from primary and a pair of raw selvedge Paul smiths knocked down from £150 to £70. Be interesting to see how they compare when worn in a bit.

I buy vintage Levis for a few quid - they fit my shape better than any other.

I've got several pairs of Diesel jeans now, love them. They're about £100-120 a pair though.
