Stevie G's last home game today :(

Stevie G's last home game at Anfield today. Tickets have been going for as much as £1300 apparently.

It'll be a sad day for many Liverpool fans today. Myself included. He'll be hard to replace.

I'm not a Liverpool fan but I hope he has an amazing send off. He has had many opportunities to move elsewhere for money but has remained loyal to his favourite club. Here's hoping his last game is a memorable one. X

They will give him a great send off. As a football fan, not a Liverpool supporter, Stevie G, I salute you.

Did he once play for Chelsea? He got a standing ovation from Chelsea fans only last week. Is it time for another?

A 25 yard screamer in front of the Kop would be a great send off for him, Its just a shame we have nothing to play for

But I will be having a few pints after the game to celebrate his time at Liverpool, It will be a long night

He's already had a couple of sendings off so far for stamping on people! Not a great part of his play but 700 appearances for the same club is pretty good going.

"Did he once play for Chelsea? He got a standing ovation from Chelsea fans only last week. Is it time for another?"

No, he said he didnt want to play for a smaller club than he already plays for.

You seem very insistant. No he didn't play for anyone but Liverpool...a quick google will give you the answers

I'm almost positive he had a trial there.

Not 100%.

He had trials at Man United, but only to get Liverpool to take him on

Privileged to have watched him continually for 17 years. He will be sorely missed. A great player and Captain. Arguably Liverpool's best ever. It's going to be emotional

The Garden of Eden in Beautiful North Wales

Isn't he just following Beckham, that went to Galaxy years ago? Again 10 years behind.

Beckham got old and shit (relatively speaking) 10 years earlier - so it does stand to reason
