Off Work Sick...BORED

I woke up yesterday with a headache. Popped some meds, went to work (a school for kids with behavioral challenges). By lunch, my temp was 99 degrees, I left a half hour earlier than scheduled with a 101 degree temp. I slept for 4 hours when I got home, got up for 2 or 3 hours and went back to bed. I STILL have a fever today, so I am home. Although there is a ton I could be doing, I have no energy, so I am just surfing the Internet. Anyone else around? Keep me entertained. LOL

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Drink lots of water, remember to eat and get some sleep.

Feel better soon.

If you're really bored you could write some rules for subs.

At any normal job, I would have gone in and fought my way through it. However, working with the type of kids that I work with and being sick and not being able to take any breaks or get to the bathroom quickly...it doesn't quite work with this job.

Sitting on the couch with nothing to do, i was made redundant last week, applying for jobs gets a bit boring after a while, cant be arsed going to the job centre to try and sign on either (probably not even eligible after getting a years salary).

Try some whisky, my grandad swore by it for colds, fevers and days ending in a "y"

Anyone have any good plans for the weekend? We were supposed to have a meet, but their childcare fell through. Shame too...

Good luck finding work. Do go and sign - our unemployment figures are so under-reported as people don't bother now. A win for the myth that everything is better, better, better for everyone.

We don't have cable, although I could probably find something on Netflix. Our offspring normally have control of the TV. I am not a big television person.

Working with kids might be the answer to your problem.

I used to date a teacher back in the day.I think she/we had every virus known to man and some that weren't!!

When I started working in a secondary school I got ill more times in a year than I had all my life. I was glad I was off sick when the Norovirus went around. I heard that 6th formers were throwing up in the corridors
