Childhood memories

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Strange question... My son is doing a project at school and had to ask his grandad for a memory from his childhood to talk about how things have changed...

And I realised, I actually have very few childhood memories. Am I weird (well I know I am, but is that really unusual?)

I have quite a few childhood memories I loved being young and carefree.

I feel sorry for the kids today as half of them don't get to explore like we used too.

Hereabouts

I have some childhood memories.. Like flying over the handlebars of my bike, dressing my cat up in dolly clothes, and taking a teddy to school when my grandad died. But I don't remember much more unless it involves a photograph.. And even then they're probably not real memories, just what I've been told about the photo

My childhood memories consist of being in an earthquake, having snakes in our house & my brother sleepwalking & peeing over our passports in my mums bedside drawer

I have similar memories. We were always out and about exploring. Down the woods. Roaming the streets. Seeking out new places. You don't seem to see kids today doing that.

Sounds like things most Fabbers do as adults

Titz Towers, North Notts

Peter Kay has made 50% of a career from childhood memories.

Spangles? What was all that about, eh?

I'm very much the same. I too thought I was weird, specially as all my family can recite their whole lives. Glad it's not just me.

Loved my childhood it was amazing..

Leavin home after breakfast, not returning home unless i wanted a drink or food

Building 'bases'in hedges/the woods near by.

Street games with friends (Kerby, Red Rover, Street Hockey).. bike rides with family and friends... bramble picking and making pies with my mum. Horse riding,,, joining the rainbows and then brownies..

Pogs and Slammers, Tamagotchi's, Marbles, Pokemon cards.

Making up dance routines with my girlie friends, pretending to be in a band, playing 'mums n dads', Telling ghost stories up in the communal attic or down in the cellars, Recording the top 40 on a tape player..

We lived in communal flats and in the summers we had huge garden parties with BBQ's, swimming pools, football games.

It was just amazing! I was very lucky
