solar powered phone charger

Any recommendations? Fed up of paying silly money to get our phones charged at Festivals

Solar powered are a bit pants just look at getting a power bank but one that's good for 3 or 4 phone charges that should see you through a festival I would think

Currys sell a load or Amazon or whatever

You are probably right as I couldn't find a single good review on a solar powered one.

I shall look up power banks. Thanks

here

look for the solar chargers that are a combination of power bank and solar panel.

A lot of the cheaper (bad review) solar chargers are simply solar panels that attempt to charge your phone from direct sunlight.

The better more expensive ones have built in power bank, so the solar panel is continually topping up the charge that is already stored in the power bank.

i have sampled and tested quite a few different models - all with varying success. the ones that did work very well would have meant the RRP being quite high £60 +

A good quality power bank with sizeable mah storage may cost you the same amount. Avoid cheap power banks that claim to have huge mah storage amount (10,000 +) Chances are the actual battery mah is much much less, and the lithium battery inside may well be poor quality and dangerous.

I can help but think a solar powered charger would be completely and utterly shit.

Can't you just stuff it in the 12V socket of your car?

Mind you thats equally as shite.

Power bank is the way forward. Mine is just a cheapo one and it still holds 4 or 5 Iphone charges.
