Disappointing sequels

Jump to newest

Titz Towers, North Notts

I nominate Kick Arse 2.

The first film was great. It even managed to be that rare beast - it featured Nick Cage and remained tolerable. However, the second one was total garbage with no charm at all.

Which sequel would you nominate?

Ooh controversial! I thought The Empire Strikes Back was superior to the original (I know to many that is almost blasphemous) but you're SO right about the prequel trilogy!

All sequels. Apart from an eeny weeny handful of exceptions.

That's like saying which film adaptations of books were disappointing?

Answer again: all of them. Apart from an eeny weeny handful of exceptions.

Mad max two was better than the first one.

Thunderdome got spoilt with the kid's.

The new film is by all accounts fantastic.

Pretty much all the star trek movie's apart from the two new one's.

Have been Crap, apart from the borg one first contact I think it was.

Pitch black good

Chronicles of riddick good.

Riddick. pants

Pitch perfect 2 will be shit but then pitch perfect 1 was Shit.

The last hangover movie was pretty bad.

And unfortunately I hate to say it, I think they killed the Ron burgundy franchise with the sequel.

"Broadchurch"

I quite liked the second series of Broadchurch.

I'd choose the Jaws sequels. The second wasn't great but my god by the fourth one they were really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Jaws 4 is one of the worst films of ALL-TIME!!

Yea, I DID know the Halloween films WERE horror.

I was just saying the horror/slasher films always seem to have too many sequels.

Or even worse with a lot of re-makes of 80's films that they been recently doing. (e.g - clash of the titans, the a team, superman, etc.) and they've been CGI'd to hell.
