Do people like larger phones?

I'm looking to replace my phone and was looking at a Nexus 6. I can't decide if this is too big a device to slip in a pocket or not.

It seems there is an increasing number of these phablets on the market, does that mean they are popular?

No, if my thumb cannot reach to the 'q' on the key board without having to use my other hand; the phone is too big

I was considering the m9. Got the HTC one at the moment. Saying that though I'd keep this phone if the battery life was still as it was when I bought it. Pity you can't change the battery

I don't. I can't grip a wide phone properly. I like my small Nokia that fits neatly in one hand and is light.

It's more, what's it like 18months into a 24month contact. Last 6months the life is shit but your still paying the same when the phone was amazing!!

I like larger phones because I'm really heavy handed with everything.

I break EVERYTHING.

A mini phone wouldn't last long.

I have an iPhone 6 and hubby the 6plus

Both work for us individually.

I like that mines slightly smaller but big enough to do everything I want and need

He likes to have more control and better _iew of things like email etc and his iPad is slowly becoming less of a necessity

About 10 years ago everyone was trying to make mobiles as small as possible, since then it's who can make them as big as possible without being like tablets.

Is it a gender thing?

Men must have bigger phones ?

or generally bigger hands to cope with larger screens ?

Hold it in one hand and if you can scroll the whole screen with your thumb it's perfect. we got the galaxy s5 and it's at that stage between being too big and just right - always have liked them thick hahaha.

here

I don't understand the market pushing towards large screens, thinner casing.

I had an iphone6 and took it back to replace it with an iPhone 5s.

If rumour is to be believed then expect an iPhone 6s later this year, which interestingly is to be a smaller than iPhone6 screen size.

Smaller phone the better for me, small size of phone was a key factor in deciding when i upgraded recently. I went for Samsung galaxy S3 mini, S5 is way too big for my liking.

I got the Amazon fire phone. It's smaller than my previous Xperia Z but I like the size. Plus, every picture on our profile was shot with this phone. In phones (as with so many other things, ahem..) size does matter. But once you find something that fits you perfectly, it's just a pain in the you-know-what to go any bigger

Small phone but fully featured: Sony Xperia z3 compact. Smaller than the iPhone 6. 20mp camera. Water proof. 2day+ battery life. Great design. Currently use this In green colour

Having said that I used to use a Nokia lumia 930 (also excellent phone) with much bigger screen.

Ultimately the z3 compact much easier to handle but yes if watching movies or browsing extensively a bigger screen is better.
