Gym Changing room

having recently started going to my local gym I was astounded at the amount of open nudity in the male changing room. I am no prude but I always believed that in public areas you should show some modesty.

At my gym men walk around nude constantly whether it be to and from the showers which are open plan or standing shaving or even chatting.

Is it just me who has encountered this or is it normal practice.

It would be interesting to know if female changing rooms are the same.

Always cocks aplenty at my gym. I guess the fitter you are and more comfortable you are with body image, the more comfortable naked you are.

I tend to scuttle in and out quickly and avoid eye contact or eye to cock contact!

pretty normal at the gym I used to go to, even a very well-known TV actor used to walk around in the buff and use the open-plan shower. I never really thought it was a big deal tbh.

About half the guys at my old gym used to be naked in the changing room, most use the gym to boost their self confidence

Not bothered about being naked around other guys..this is especially true if you've ever played rugby.if you weren't naked you were considered weird!..

There's a muslim dude who uses the gym,and he will go to great lengths to not being seen naked.

Not for me to answer for the OP but my interpretation wasn't so much shock at nudity in a changing room but the extent of it - for example I get changed and can be naked for a short while but will dress when dry after a shower. If I want to look in a mirror I'll dry myself off and put some clothes on before I to go look.

It's certainly the case in some gyms where it seems like guys are prancing around naked when there's really no need or longer than is necessary - for some it's perfectly normal behaviour, for others it might seem overtly exhibitionist?

Anyway just my take on what the OP meant in his post and I can understand where he's coming from to be honest.

Well well well,what struck me about this post was that a 50 yr old 'straight' man came across male nudity in a male changing room..and considered it odd.

I have been using male changing rooms for over 50 years and nothing is any different..It is aproppriate to be naked at times in such an environment.

I never take much notice, but to shower for example, you need to remove clothing..He asks if women do the same? You getting off on it fella?? ...just asking lol

I tend to avoid gym when it's busy as it's just a small one but I wouldn't care if I saw another ladies bits or if they saw mine. They're only body parts, you're clearly proud of yours as someone else stated about your public pictures..

Women's changing rooms are largely the same.

I used to swim nine times a week when I was a kid, then I got more into gym based stuff in my twenties, now I'm into triathlons. I always walk around naked. I'm not afraid or ashamed of my body. I'm not scared of tits or penises.

Women's changing rooms are largely the same.

Why wouldn't it be ok to be seen naked in a single sex gym changing room ?

It certainly is in the gym we use and doesn't bother anyone !

Seems like most guys including myself don't think twice about stripping off and walking about naked in the gym locker room or communal showers or even relaxing naked in the sauna chatting to other guys !

In fact being nudists ourselves we positively enjoy it !!!!!! Lol !

Well it's a regular thing in our work changing room especially after the pool session. We are very open about sharing the shower cubicle and will be in there as others are getting a lather on and we're sharing the shower head. Those who are a bit of a prude tend to get gone in seconds while others will wait their turn.

I shouldn't worry about people walking about with it all out it's highly unlikely that they will jump you.

Doesn't Bother me. I'm comfortable walking around changing rooms naked as me being a rugby player we all do. The showers are communal so we shower together. Probably 30 naked rugby players is something most women on this site would like to see in one big shower!!!
