I'm rubbish at flirting ..

Some people are naturals at flirting, others not quite so comfortable at it.

I think I fit in the latter category, whilst I think I get on well with most people I meet on a social basis I can actually sometimes feel myself inwardly cringe when I try to flirt - and the more I think about it the more conscious of it I become and then I start to feel my cheeks warm as I go red and blush ... which just makes things worse!

Maybe it's my own insecurities and maybe the clue is in the statement 'when I TRY to flirt' .. I guess it's always better when it flows naturally.

Anyway - what part of the Swinging / dating game are you rubbish at or would you change given the chance??

Just be yourself, I found when I got divorced that I had far more "success" when I just talked normally to ladies than when flirting, they just get bored of all the wise cracks, when I met one on a blind date I always took a bunch of flowers, I used to call them my knicker removers,it worked 80/90% of the time, not sure quite how that might play out on a swinging meet tho

I usually find the people who think they are rubbish at something are usually very good at it & those who go on about how great they are at something are usually shit at it.

Yeah I guess the best flirting just 'flows' without being consciously aware of it - when you make a natural connection.

I'm probably not aware when that happens - it's only when I *think* about how I'm interacting with someone that the old insecurities come out!

If i am attracted to some one I find it very easy to flirt. I also love flirting across a room to a stranger with my eyes, very sexy!!

That's why you are a single male on a swing site.

If you were good at flirting you would not be on here.

so just me, you and 70% of Fab then!

You're probably right though - those natural flirters are probably out charming the knickers off ladies in the 'real world' so I know where you're coming from

Im amazing at flirting..im confident and funny..i keep eye contact but also make sure they see me checking them out here and there.

i dont say anything innapropriate and remember too smile and laugh...i dont focus on getting into a pair of knickers i just try and have a good time with whoever im with and then the flirting comes natural because your not stressing about it.

..And yet im on here..because i still want too explore sexually, meet new people and generally make good memories..funny that

"Can one flirt without knowing it? "

What do you think it's 80% of my post but my real problem is my right thumb is a sneaky little fucker and when it's on it game it faster then the brain and send is pressed shortly followed by a high pitch nooooooo head landing in hands and a very nervous wait for the reply and the thoughts of how many time are you going to do this

Crap at it. I can be flirty with those I don't find attractive but bloody useless if I do.

The net has helped me somewhat as I am pretty good at wordplay and my humour is usually translated in prose. Usually but their have been a few misses.

In a social situation with strangers I think i'm pretty rubbish at it too. I think i respond quite well when the person i'm chatting to is quite flirty but stumble along a bit if i'm taking the lead!

I don't think I'm that bad if i know the person or have chatted with them before.
