Anybody got any knowledge or experience of going to York for a night out - not a swinging night, just regular bars/clubs etc.

Is is any good? Lively?

Amazing city - full of atmosphere and history with old pubs, great wine bars - everything you want. You simply cannot go wrong and drinking establishments everywhere - enjoy

swinegate area has lots of wine bars nice area over the river rougier street area are the clubs

There's an abundance of places to eat,drink and be merry If you enjoy Italian there's a lush little Italian place called Lucia's in Swinegate.Enjoy
