I've got a graduate who joined me 5 months ago. I get this literally every day. She doesn't realise how smart she is.

Less often my son and his maths homework

One day it will all come together for your son. As for the graduate that's one of the joys of nurturing people new to a role.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

My 6 year old is now managing to say the letter C instead of T... might not sound like much but its a huge achievement and a few years of speech therapy!

Nothing that comes to mind. However I am a big fan of delegation when I cant be arsed. I call it 'allowing subordinates to expand their skill set'

"Of" is the relationship between things (proud of you, three out of five etc.).

"Have" is the possess/own or experience something (I have a new car, I should have had a bath etc.).

The very scenic route, God knows where we would have ended up if I hadn't happened to notice a certain dome in the far distance.

I passed on some basic computer skills to my dad. It took him an hour (with much swearing and wailing amd nashing of teeth) to learn how to copy and paste.

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

There was a guy at school who always said/wrote of instead of have. The Headmaster, who was also our English teacher, made him write out "I would have got more marks in my English test if I had written 'have' instead of 'of'" 100 times

Going over and over inverse functions with a yr 11 girl in her maths class. After her mock exam she ran up to me and screamed I remembered! We had a few moments like that
