a Primark shoebox in Leicester

I'm really excited (sad I know) about lunch today. I have what looks like half a lamb in the fridge. It may be a bit excessive for one person.... and I also have a rack full of scrummy veg to roast…. but it looked so good.

I am sure I'll be eating lamb curry, kebabs and whatnot all week.

How about making a big pot of curry using the meat you cannot eat today, portion them into tubs and freeze?

That's what I normally do, as it means I have a selection of home-cooked ready meals in the freezer that I can take to work.

You can have the fly half, and the scrum half as they are usually a little bit short for me, but I want the rest of the tall guys, forwards and backs please!

Might take a little bit longer than lunch though!

I am starting with homemade broad bean coulis on which is served a small salmon medallion topped with butter mustard seeds.

For main I will be having lamb shank braised in a red wine and onion gravy thickened by reduction on a small bed of potatoes au gratin accompanied by baby seasonal vegetables.

I will follow this with a sharp rasberry jous poured over the sweetest crushed meringue topped with madagascan vanilla cream and fresh mint leaves.

IVE GOT butternut squash carrot and onion puree with roasted chicken ....nice !!! gonna make it into a soup tomoorow so it lasts a few more days...i love to cook even tho its only me here most of the time ...
