I wonder how many people acually read the profiles on this site.

As I get smokers message me and my profile clearly says I do not meet smokers....

Grrrrrrrr frustrating. ..rant over

By the time they get to that part though, they're wanking furiously so choose to bypass it. Would t let it annoy you. That's what the delete and block buttons are for

I get loads of 'I know you're not actively looking to meet but' type messages so I do think most people at least skim read them or read then. Or skip to the last paragraph to see if there's a codeword...

I dont get anyway near the hundreds of messages other single ladies would have us believe they get... if im really lucky I may get 10 across the course of a day.... I am hoping that that is because others have read and are respecting what my profile says and not that the hundreds who would be mailing all think im a munter!

I get about twenty a day and I think for the most part people do read my profile

I certainly read others profiles. And of course perv at the picks

I am guilty of skimming as for single guy fab is definitely a numbers game. That being said i tend to avoid those profiles unless i can sense a sense of humour rather than a list of do and don't. If the lady in question really catches my eye i will take time to send a well thought out message... sometimes not getting a reply so can see why guys do it.

I think Scarlet Seduction has got a wordy profile but she's hot... check inbox later Scarlet

I think a lot do, to be honest; whether they pay attention to what they might see as minor details like smoker/non-smokers is probably another question.

I changed mine a few months back to reflect the fact I wasn't really looking for new people to meet and the number of messages I'm getting has decreased significantly since then, without me having changed anything else, and while I'm still uploading photos or changing my status at the same rate as before.

I get lots of messeges from guys who don't fit what i look for which is clearly written on my profile and adverts (when i have them), when i say no thanks cus you don't fit what i look for they often turn nasty and abusive, i really don't understand why they do that, it seems i should forget about my preferences lol

I block them and often report them if they are abusive !

I think quite a few people do read them, but some people see it as a challenge.

I have I don't like VWE on my profile, but loads of guys think that is open to discussion because I have never met and experienced them and obviously they know me better.

I always read carefully the profile of someone who I like the look of and might be interested in meeting.

If I find something in the profile that shows a clear incompatibility, for example, someone who is ONLY looking for Bi-men, then I don't send a message.

I consider myself fairly well endowed with intelligence.

I think a lot of what people put on their profiles are general ideas, not totally hard rules, 100% under no circumstances, sort of things.

I think most of us would make an exception for the right person; it would be a harsh world otherwise. However, this doesn't make it any nicer when someone who you wouldn't make an exception for chances their arm.

when I've read a profile and said that i have, even answering questions posed by the profile holder, i get accused of just perving the pictures.

as a single guy I prefer to read the profiles before sending any messages. saves a lot of hassle and sometimes end up with a meet either social or fun.

Personally I read then and what people like helps to filter out the people would not meet or would like to meet, the ones where gives their life story make for great reading and sometimes funny .

Whenever I see a capitalised 'R' on the word 'reading' I see it as the town I live nearby to!

So I have spent a lot of time on this site reading the Reading profiles!

And I do read them too, there's a lot of very attractive ladies and couples locally but sadly I don't fit the criteria for most so haven't ever contacted them

I read all profiles and try to make my messages as personal as possible, it's not just you lovely women who get them I tend to attract more men than women on here!! x
