"As I've said before, it's the man that makes the clothes, not vice versa. Whilst some men do indeed gain a look of command and class when wearing a nice suit, many others just look like the fat, sweaty louts they are, trying to conceal it beneath a shirt and tie. Bummer That's just how it is. The way I see it, the kind of man who looks good in a suit, is the kind who has EARNED his right to wear one, and this kind of man will have that same look of respectability and presence regardless of what he wears. People value suits because they represent success, power and prestige, and those qualities a man will have or not have regardless of what he wears. Actually, coming from the creative side, where non-creatives were sneered at by calling them 'suits', it has the opposite connotation for me!! The man with real prestige is the man who doesn't need to wear a suit! That's pretty much what I was insinuating, it's the MAN who makes the clothes, not vice versa. Simon Cowell famously wears his simple t-shirt and jeans most of the time, yet no one could deny his aura. ...and of course, when he DOES wear a suit, it thoroughly conveys the message of 'this man opens his mouth, YOU listen.' Nah. You're free to disagree if you don't find him attractive personally, but the mans wealth, prestige and success with women didn't come from him wearing a suit. I was disagreeing with your statement when he speaks YOU listen lol. I usually turn the channel over. Ian Hislop or Stephen Fry I'd be more inclined to listen to And most men look good in suits only someone arrogant would say otherwise. I think a well cut, bespoke tailored suit on a man is to tasteful, elegant and pulse raising lingerie on a lady.... The cut and fit are all important with a suit Maybe.
