Good luck everyone.

I'm off to help a friend on her first run sinve having surgery on her spine earlier in the year. It won't be far and it won't be fast but it's a big milestone for her.

Manchester for me today. I'm running for my friend who died aged 32 from sudden adult death syndrome on 28th December last year. He was a father and husband and was my hero.

Never done 10k before but I'd do 1000k if it helped raise awareness and honoured my friend.

Thanks for the OP for posting this thread.

I finished in 52:22 which was good as I'm not in very good shape at all. My mates dragged me round really as they're all much fitter than I am.

Eeek ! Tomorrow's the Chester Half marathon

Have to get my head in the game, as I find the hardest part is the mental aspect. Knowing that it's a battle against your self in the closing miles
