Yep. Kind of ruined the whole film for me really - that and the barely audible soundtrack of course.

There's a lot of Kubrick at the end.

Brighton - even Hove!

I spent a lot of time watching it. My wife said it was a waste of space.

Yeah weird ending. I was hoping for aliens.

Derbyshire

You thought THAT was weird? I came out of it and analysed my own watch. Appatently 'tick, tock' is Morse code for ET. So I phoned home, but no-one answered.

Now that IS weird...

{exits to tune if 'The Outer Limits', played so loud you can't hear what anyone is actually saying...}

Dunno about dumb just living out their third dimension not aware of the forth never mind the fifth. Thought it was a good movie, enjoyed it.

Which plot holes,incidently?"

1. The earth resources are running out & they use the remaining of it to build a space ship. Yet not only do they magically build another one it's more advanced aswell!?

2. How did they managed to beat the dad to the new planet without the use of the black hole and have it up & running!?

3. So a human being can go through a black hole & not only witness a time paradox back on earth but also manipulate it to send some elaborate Morse code!?

4. And the dad managed to come out the other end of the black hole but the robot didn't!?

5. When he did magically reappear a advanced ship just so happens to be passing by!?

6. When the dad is finally on the ship which just so happens to have he's now elderly daughter on it she basically tells him to go fuck off I'm dying & want to spend time with my family, not even a thanks for sending the Morse code!?

l. The ship was built years before the famine epidemic. Resources were not diminishing, food was.

2. The hole was around a few years back. All the new crew had to do was retrieve their data. That's why matt Damon was cryogenically frozen on their arrival.

3.Yep,it's a movie.

4.I'm sure Coop (the dad) picked up the robot from the black hole from the house mock up In the museum. He used the stored coordinates the find the girl in space at the end.

5.The tesseract was built by humans, they knew where he was coz they sent the thing there in the first place.

1. Even if resources were not in short supply the great minds & technical ability were, who built these ships majority of people were farmers.

I take your other points on board but at the end of the day I expected better from Christopher Nolan

Maybe he should of stuck with batman, as all movies seem to have boners with superheroes at the moment.

I thought Inception was well made. And as a comic book fan only watchman & the first two Nolan batman films are great movies which stick to the source material all the others are either sub par quite good but don't manage to stay faithful to the source material

I hope he doesn't get tempted to the dark side of Hollywood, and given a shit load of money to come up with sub par franchises... Yes I'm looking at you Peter Jackson. Hobbit pales in comparison compared to his LOTR trilogy.

Personally I hope he goes back to writing/directing films like Memento and The Prestige.

I'm really hating films being big upped so much...

I watched online...

the whole fim is really just a rehash of 'Contact'(jodie foster)

I seen the twist coming quite early...

in fact if u watch a GREAT series(on youtube) starring peter weller:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0318236/

odyessy 5

I'm a an ex trekkie..and love almost everything a lil bit deeper in scifi

(avoid monsters lol..the sequel isnt too bad tho!)

Wasn't contact about an alien that disguised itself as Jodies dead father to make 'contact' with her? I can see the similarities.

contact is the better film, technicall maybe not as pleasing..but it is really a film, more to do with exploring faith..rather than being a sci-fi movie...

as I said, odessey 5 done the same thing its very worthy...its old..but its a series that should have been revived..and ended at least.

I particularly LOVE stories about AI (watch auto machina)...and I'm dying to see ex-machina

there are a few good other sci-fi's out there...movietube is a good source, there are a good few independant sci-fi movies...but as I say..

avoid MONSTERS..its fucking PISH
