As I was driving back to Newcastle from London yesterday I played all 6 of my Stereophonics CDs and had a whale of a time singing at the top of my voice all the way up lol.

One song, however, really made me think as it had one verse in it that went:

"You can find yourself a God,

Believe in which one you want,

Coz they love you all the same,

They just go by different names."

And I thought that was probably one of the best lyrics I'd ever heard and when you think of all the religious disharmony there is in the world today, that those four lines bind everyone together regardless of race, creed or faith. It seemed to be saying, "you can pick a God of the shelf and it doesn't matter which one as they're all the same so it's up to you which particular flavour you prefer."

The song was: It Means Nothing - Stereophonics.

Where did you go?

How did you know to get out of a world gone mad

Help me let go

Of the chaos around me

The devil that hounds me

I need you to tell me

Try to be still

If the darkest hour comes

Before the light

Where is the light

Where is the light

Pink Ave Maria

Milton Keynes

It is the spring time of my loving

The second season I am to know

You are the sunlight in my growing

So little warmth I’ve felt before

It isn’t hard to feel me glowing

I watched the fire that grew so low...

It is the summer of my smiles

Flee from me Keepers of the Gloom

Speak to me only with your eyes

It is to you I give this tune

Ain't so hard to recognise

These things are clear to all from time to time...

I’ve felt the coldness of my winter

I never thought it would ever go

I cursed the gloom that set upon us,

‘pon us, 'pon us

But I know that I love you so,

oh, but I know that I love you so...

These are the seasons of emotion

And like the winds they rise and fall

This is the wonder of devotion

I see the torch we all must hold

This is the mystery of the quotient

Upon us all, upon us all a little rain must fall

Just a little rain...

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

Some things in life are bad,

They can really make you mad,

Other things just make you swear and curse,

When you're chewing life's gristle,

Don't grumble,

Give a whistle

And this'll help things turn out for the best.

And...

Always look on the bright side of life.

[whistle]

Always look on the light side of life.

[whistle]

If life seems jolly rotten,

There's something you've forgotten,

And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.

When you're feeling in the dumps,

Don't be silly chumps.

Just purse your lips and whistle.

That's the thing.

And...

Always look on the bright side of life.

[whistle]

Always look on the right side of life,

[whistle]

For life is quite absurd

And death's the final word.

You must always face the curtain with a bow.

Forget about your sin.

Give the audience a grin.

Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.

So,...

Always look on the bright side of death,

[whistle]

Just before you draw your terminal breath.

[whistle]

Life's a piece of shit,

When you look at it.

Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true.

You'll see it's all a show.

Keep 'em laughing as you go.

Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And...

Always look on the bright side of life.

Always look on the right side of life.

[whistle]
