Hi,

I'm thinking of getting netflix and was wondering what other users experience of it was like?

Can you watch a programme at any time, or only when its on (e.g. if I wanted to watch the entire series of friends could I do so anytime, or do I need to wait until they release the next episode).

Also, how do you find out what is in the library, what's available to watch?

Many thanks

xx

Honestly, I think it's great (this comes from a person who usually watches films/series from random streaming websites).

In each region (country), the Netflix library has different content. UK content is fairly good, but the US mas far more to watch. Although you don't have to, it's possible to watch media from other regions by using a VPN (Hola Better Internet, for example.)

I'm not sure where you'd check the libraries elsewhere, but there's bound to be places that list things.

As for the functionality, it's pretty sweet. HQ streams, captions if needed, no obnoxious adverts/popups, etc. Even for simple things like snapping the window to the side of your screen, Netflix resizes the video nicely. It also has some pretty sweet exclusive series.

Best bet is to try a trial month. I'm actually still on mine, so my feedback is still from limited usage

You can search for any show by going in to the browse section. You can search by actor or show. They don't have everything on there tho. We have it and we love it. Well worth the money.

Thank you so much.

An added benefit, or so I'm told, is that if you just use it, or services like it, you can stop paying your tv licence as well, as it isn't live.

I watch very few live tv shows, and what I do will either be on one of these services, or on catch up, so I can go completely live free

I have both Now TV and Netflix.

On Now TV I subscribe to Entertainment and Movies (basically Sky TV channels)

For movies Now TV is better

For Entertainment choice (TV) Netflix is better.

He only reason I have The entertainment package on Now TV is to watch discovery shows and some others on Sky one and Atlantic.

So I'm quite sneaky. I have Netflix through my xbox. Also have my xbox linked to my dad's sky account so have access to sky go including all the sports channels. Rte player & Tv3 player too just in case and of course showbox on my tablet which i can hook up to my tv. All for the price of Netflix and my wifi.
