There used to be a big annual fair in Stamford when I was a kid and my favourite was the Ferris Wheel although we called it the Big Wheel.

The being squashed was part of the fun, lol.

think it has loads of names, but it kind of went in a triangle motion as well as go round? I googled and cyclone brought up loads of different rides, if you google twister then that's the ride i meant.

ooh i so wanna go to flamingoland for a holiday...

Dodgems and waltzer.

I was lucky enough to work in a fairground many moons ago.

I'd have paid THEM to let me work there.

I even learnt to walk the waltzer, both directions.......

Happy days.

Waltzers.

Although they were used to it, it always used to amaze me how the young lads were able to keep their balance and walk around on the platform perfectly while it was on the move.

And the more you screamed, the harder and faster they spun your cart.

I loved the waltzers-I used to refuse to go on other things so I could go on the waltzers over and over!

It's not the same as an adult-I miss being a teenage girl and getting pushed!!

When I was really young it had to be the horses and the little trains at butlins, then as I got older paratroopers, mexican hat, dodgems and waltzer, love the fairground.

Once spent a night in a dodgem car in Derby market place, it was raining and I was pissed & didn't fancy a 4 mile walk home

Hold tight girls hold tight.

When the red light flashes hold to your tashes

When the green light flickers hold to your knickers hold tight girls hold tight.

The louder you scream the faster you go Hold tight girls hold tight.

I used to work the fairgrounds when I was younger, walking them is easy just lean back and you are ok, jumping on and off took a little more practice.

The wild mouse , every time you had a go you were more scared of the ride collapsing than the actual ride itself
