"They are selling vinyl again in HMV but at £20 an album. Charity shops are an Aladdins cave for vinyl hunters ita worth a nose " indeed they are ..but be aware some are in pretty dire shape... in the olden days an auld half p would weigh the needle down ,to plough through the scratches ... but long term its not a good idea ...

"Bought Fleetwood Mac Vintage Years LP,(inc peter green, jeremy spencer, danny kirwan 1968)in very good condition for 99p from a charity shop a few weeks ago,Before that though i bought an Import of "How does it Feel?" by 60s mod/beat group The Creation,it was the lead guitarist Eddie Phillips who first used the Violin or viola bow on the guitar strings so famously used now by Led Zeps Jimmy Page." I saw a The Creation when they briefly reformed in 1994. Eddie Phillips did indeed pioneer the violin bow with electric guitar that Jimmy Page nicked. Jimmy became a millionaire legend....Eddie became a Routemaster bus driver!!

Got a DVD of The Creation when they Briefly reformed in mid 90s!,I think it was Singer Kenny Pickett doing work with Led Zep who told Jimmy Page of the work Eddie Phillips did with the Violin Bow on Painter Man that took Jimmys attention.
