Maybe Coventry, they have the thighs of the Wasps rugby team now.

Just up the road from us - very nice, but to be honest, it's pricey and a bit poncey. Hampshire's lovely though, with the New Forest, the sea and a nice little island just half a mile off the coast where we live, the tourist blurb describes it as "where the forest meets the sea".

I chose to live in a market town called Flint.

I primarily chose Flint for the house which I privately rent.

Flint itself is fine, functional, has a good selection of family businesses, I've found a great Chinese, an awesome kebabbery, my cheapest petrol station is a Shell Garage, but Flint is nothing special. Except for the Castle on the banks of the Dee estuary. Flint Castle features in a painting by John Turner and a play by Shakespear.

However, it's general location is simply wonderful....

Nearest city is Chester, which is historical, romantic, mysterious, has just about everything you could want. Liverpool is not much further, Manchester is an hour away.

Manchester airport is 45 mins, Liverpool airport is 30 mins.

London by train from Flint station or National Express go through Flint and Megabus call in Chester.

Holyhead port for ferries to Dublin, Eire; Liverpool for ferries to Dublin, Belfast, Isle of Man. Both ports are a short drive away.

Fancy a day trip? Well, you can be in Blackpool, Lake District, Peak District, Snowdonia.. all reachable for a day.

Fancy a night out in Manchester or Liverpool? Go by train and come back by train - Flint station is on the main line to Holyhead.

North Wales in on my doorstep. Craggy mountains (they were snow topped this last Saturday), remote lakes, sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, historic ruined castles to explore, yachting havens, fishing harbours, zoos, wildlife, flat cycle ways without cars or lorries, waterfalls, lighthouses, starry skies, village pubs with wonderful home cooked food, Llandudno with the Great Orme, Victorian streets, cable cars and tramway and a wonderful pier....

Chester it's famous for 3 things

1) hollyoaks

3) It's the only place you can get away with murdering a Welsh person. Provided you use a long bow!

Same here, we have vast beautiful beaches too. Norfolk is the best place too live.

Err, actually, no it's not, horrible place, full of zombies in tractors and animal poo. You wouldn't like it at all

Has to be Wales, you're never a long distance worthy of being in the deepest of countryside or on the coast.

People are mostly friendly, if they're not friendly they're ignorant which is just as good as them not existing anyway.

House prices to suit all budgets in all areas.

My only gripes, the accent - I think it sounds dull.

We have our own language hardy anybody knows apart from the basic words like 'hello' and one possible swear/curse word.

Well, Newcastle upon Tyne. Unashamedly love my home town. Where I live, which is outside the City, we can be in the city centre in like 20 mins or at the coast or in the countryside in the same time. All are beautiful.

Torn between my home country Yorkshire and North Wales.

Yorkshire has a bit of everything, countryside, Dales, Moors, rugged cliffs and sandy beaches, as well as quaint and metropolitan cities - not to mention some cracking ladies. (and good looking gents)

North Wales - close enough to Manchester, Chester and Liverpool for day trips/long weekends. Though you have to truly love it for the mountains and coast. Nothing better than some hiking and climbing when it's dry enough and when the sun shines on the coast you could be forgiven for believing you're in France. :D

I do love Scotland and Ireland but haven't lived there enough.
