Hi,

In a pervious profile, I had my pictures copied and distributed (I accept that not all my pics were made private and some were available publically).

I work in the private sector and had the disclaimers on my profile that everybody seems to have and when I tried to seek advice there was none available.

Is there anything else I could have done...not to blow my own trumpet but it's good that I am valued in my job because it could have ended terribly.

If you put pics on the net you take a chance on someone nicking them. Maybe just send pics to the people you are likely to meet?

all of that Sydney uni stuff is crap.....

It's just an Internet meme ...

Once you upload something to the Internet it's basically in the public domain, so there's little you can do about it

You have no ownership of your image. The disclaimer is just nonsense. How would it ever be implemented?

With the cut n paste disclaimers in place you have them 'banged to rights' .... Sounds like you have tracked em down too so the next step is to instruct your Internet legal team to go medieval on their ass..... May cost a bob or two, what with them possibly being anywhere in the World but surely worth it?

We are chasing a student in Australia at the moment...The legal bill is currently $1527.36 and rising....but the bastards not getting away with nicking a pic of my bits I can tell you!... the git actually goes to Sydney University too! Adds insult to injury don't it....

Good luck and don't let the bastards get away with it.

PS for our out of country cases we use Saul Goodman out of Albuquerque USA....not cheap but highly recommend..... HTH
