Has anyone got one? Does it help with weight loss? Is/was it a phase and now sits gathering dust in a cupboard somewhere? Recipe book good or feel the need for more recipes?

May as well buy the magic bullet that can do everything. Very useful, quick and easy to clean too. Recipe book has ideas but you can get more/better off web.

I don't know what a nutribullet is but I do know this. The best way to lose wait and keep it off is to eat a balanced diet and to have regular sexathons. The sexathons I can definitely help with.

I know people who swear by them BUT juices are only good for weight loss for a short time and not if they are just fruit, needs to be about 80% veg, 20% fruit , as much green veg as you can, ginger added gives it a kick, spinach, celery, an apple, cucumber, lemon or lime, kale, flaxseeds or chia seeds etc x

OP if you already drink juices, or aim to replace a meal or two a day with juices, go for it. They are supposed to be very good. But I prefer to eat my calories and if I had one I would end up gaining weight, as I don't move enough to burn so many extra calories.

A stated above, if you do get one, be careful with fruit. They are full of sugar. Make most of your juices vegetable based. Experiment with adding nut milks (giggity) or coconut water.

Fruit is very high in sugar. Stop being a slave to these fad diets. It's just someone getting rich on the back of your insecurities.

Yea been reading it's for both fruit n veg mixes. I was only thinking of it as a breakfast/lunch replacement as dinners I have sussed. I have read that juice diets are not the way to go, but I feel that I could handle missing out on my first 2 meals replacing with a juice.

Have seen coconut water mentioned a lot. I'm under the impression that fruits are added for sugar and taste so it is not all gag like lol

They are very good, but perhaps think of the juices as part of your overall diet, not a meal replacement?

It's a good way to your ten a day

Which is kinda what I am thinking. Have the juice rather than my morning porridge. I see people's reviews on it saying one or 2 a day but drink it slowly as it keeps you full.....

The problem is juices will never keep you as full as food, as liquids pass through the stomach much much quicker. It would be better to actually eat the vegetables to get the fibre as well as the micronutrients, but there's only so much kale a person can eat in one go

If you're having porridge for breakfast, that's great! I'd use the bullet for lunch and, as you say, you've got dinner sorted.

Been thinking about buying one myself, but for £100, I dunno?!

These are heaven sent!

The recipe books are good but just a guide really.

Concocting your own recipes as an aside is great fun

No, I meant Oatso simple porridge.... Lol even with skimmed milk it is nawty.

I have an Argos card so will buy it over 6 months which will psychologically help me swallow the £100 price tag lol

BUY IT... We bought a nutri bullet about a year ago and it is the best thing that we have ever bought. I have always struggled with choosing the right thing for breakfast but this thing is just the business. I get my five a day and tons of nutrients in one blast and occasionally if I have been got a longish run I have a second one in the evening of just kale, vanilla protein shake and water.

By the way, you will feel a difference just adding kale to your diet every day.

Just where I need to be.

I use a smoothie maker. Bought years ago. Baby spinach, cucumber, broccoli and strawberries. Smooths and blends. Make a weeks worth, freeze individual portions and take out night before ready to have in the morning. Lots of recipes out there.

Out of curiosity, the broccoli, being a tougher veg, do you prepare it or just whizz it raw?

I had a juicer donkeys years ago. Paid a fortune, gave it to my daughter who gave it away.

Bought a juicer a year or so ago. Used it. Left it on the shelf.

Juicing is a fad. It's really NOT a lifestyle or a good way to loose weight.

Smoothies can help or veg drinks.

Juice drinks are not good. Sugar loaded.

Eat tons of veg. Some protein and very little carb or fruit and the fat will fall off. Especially if you walk.

I never ever saw a FAT prisoner of war.

Just where I need to be.

I chop it first. Don't use too much as it changes the flavour and becomes bitter. I don't have the drinks for weight loss but to get a good start to my day.

I love mine, my general health has improved so much since I started juicing. My diet is pretty good anyway (I'm allergic to gluten and eggs so I can't eat a lot of "naughty" things) but yeah it just helps get extra goodness in there.

Basically you can just pap anything in it (fruit and veg wise, not like... a brick). If it's rank add a bit of ginger or mint & it magically becomes delicious.

A few of my friends have either the nutribullet or vitamix ..they use them regularly to make green smoothies... I've thought about it as I don't get enough veg into my diet and this seems to be an uber convenient way..

Depends what you make. I use my little be lender for making high calorie shakes to help me eat enough.

It is a great way to get lots of veg definitely, when I do juice I tend to have it as breakfast or lunch then eat normally the rest of the day

I don't use mine for weight loss but for helping with healthy eating, getting my 5 a day, they taste great and eplaces the high sugar drinks that I would have normally bought.
