Telling someone Your Transsexual

In public, I always find it to be scary because I'm scared incase they get mad?

Like I know it's not their business either way unless it's leading towards pulling...

But! What would be the easiest way to let someone know without it packing a punch?

& Also when guys hit on me in the street like go out of their way to talk to me I can see them getting mad if I drop the bomb there I usually just smile and walk away I always feel rude, Should I just not say anything orrr I don't know :/

Have you had the full operation? If so your a woman simple as, no need to tell people

If your getting into a serious relationship maybe the truth is best but not random strangers hitting on you

OP never let anyone make you feel inferior...you are perfect for yourself... if the person gets upset with your honesty... that is their bloody shallowness... to me they are just bullies... they should be glad you were honest and didn't lie and if a person enjoys talking to you it doesn't matter what your sex is... so don't feel down. If someone is rude to you... just look at them with pity that in this day an age such shallow human beings still exist.

I don't think you're being rude by being honest, not your fault you're convincing.

Don't know what to advise you really. I think i'd rather someone get mad at me in public before going back to their place/my place and getting mad there.

Iv`e found that telling people up front on here seems easier and gives them the choice whether they want to meet my type or not, i have told some after many messages only to get blocked or not spoken to again haha but i agree we all have choices and i`m not here to trick anyone!

I`m a post-op M-F btw. x

I was once told by a dear friend , who is a ft tranny .

If they don't want to be seen in public with me , or even need to be educated about it , they just aren't worth the time.

I think, as a rule of thumb, the right time to tell someone in an emerging and deepening relationship is when it becomes relevant. In a casual verbal encounter on the street or in public, it's not really any of their business, so only say if you want to. On the other hand if someone is investing a lot of time and emotional energy in you and it's mutual, then sharing part of your life history might seem relevant. In some contexts it is important to let a potential life partner know if they might be thinking of starting a family, and - for transsexual or other reasons - they may be assuming this is a possibility when it isn't.

My thoughts don't arise from personal experience of being trans; only from knowing one or two trans people.

I have to agree with the positivity of the many messages here. It's something that I don't think you need to reveal to a casual conversation. Just to those that you've taken the time to get to know, and feel that they are worthy enough of it.

People will always judge and be opinionated about others and some will always be nasty and dismissive.

Just be confident and happy with who you are and the best people to be around you tend to naturally gravitate towards you. Then it doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, bi, post-op or pre-o, because your friends will want to be around you for who are regardless of your sexuality. X

On a serious note unfortunately you will likely have a lot of heartbreak but so does everybody in the search for Mr/Mrs right.

As it happens, I'm not looking for a relationship, but, what I've found is that there are a fair amount of chaps who are happy to meet, but not many want to have a relationship beyond that.

It's not just CD/TV/TS/TG etc that have that problem, there are plenty of genetic women searching for men for LTR but end up as a one nighter or bit on the side...

I tell people what I'm comfortable with them knowing. Chatting and flirting carries no offer of anything in the street etc, just as it's the same on fab.

Sometimes relationships build up in layers, so developed trust and intimacy may reveal the right time.

I like to give people the head space that they need to work things out for themselves, after revealing something - rather than them having to take reflexive action. People often surprise themselves upon their responses, if they have time to think and reflect upon what they'd really be open to enjoying and accepting for themselves.

Sometimes some distance is a good thing between people. It removes some pressure from immediacy. It can allow their imagination to picture what they could be enjoying, or not.

Sometimes just a few scattered hints prepare others for what is about to come - it's not being elusive, just letting their minds be somewhat prepared.
