Somewhere in North Norfolk

I can either go out in the cold and brave the supermarket (and the special level of Hell that is the supermarket car park) or I can order takeaway and open a bottle of wine.

I know what I should do.

Has anyone seen my willpower laying about?

I would say takeout. Especially this time of the month. I have compromised and as asked my partner to pick up something nice for us on his way back from work. Leave it to him what ....

Be selfless, think Austerity, share the pain.

Boiled dandelion leaves and stale bread it is then.

Yep...who needs takeaway when you have wine?

Why not do both ?

A chore followed by a treat always works for me.

Your willpower is hidden under the takeaway menu...ignore it, open the wine and start dialling

The Supermarkets a walk in the park at this time on a Friday. You're just making excuses.

step away from the dandelion leaves they are a diuretic you will be pissing for England better off with nettle leaves very tasty boiled and full of iron and vitamin C , toast the bread as long as it's not mouldy

It was a cunning ploy. Since I never do as I'm told, I hoped this would inspire me to go to the supermarket

I'm not sure whether it worked, but I did go to the supermarket.

There would have been wine when I got back, if I'd remembered to put it in the fridge.

I'm going for coffee and cake tomorrow morning though and for a big lunch on Sunday, so I'm trying to be good.

It wasn't the most exciting meal ever, but I had left it late to eat, so anything heavy would have been a bad idea anyway.

One day I'll be more organised. I might even eventually learn to cook.

I eat quite a bit of tuna. It's entertaining eating tuna in this house because one of my cats can't tell the difference between his tuna flavour cat food and my tinned tuna. He insists I am stealing the very food from his mouth. The histrionics are quite impressive.

I've had to start draining the tuna into a bowl, (I buy tuna in spring water), and letting him have that, just to shut him up!

Cats are mad my mums cat is now a house cat after being run over Xmas before last, was only 10 months old and would make a full recovery with the op which cost my mum £900 with all the morphine the overnight stays etc, anyway now he doesn't go out unless he's on a lead with my mum or sister, looks ridiculous!

Tunas good it's about 28 grams of protein per serving, do you like eggs? Egg whites contain the most protein, I have 4 eggs scrambled, 3 whites one whole egg on brown toast no butter only cos I don't like butter.

My weight gain partly came from the stupid injection pill which I've not had topped up again and also that army guy that bombed me out over Xmas, plus my best friend who up until 2013 we had both been single together for years, every spare weekend I'd go over her house and watch films or whatever, her boyfriend is in the army but when he came back from afghan in November he was home till January so every weekend I was in my house on my own, my daughter goes up her Nan's on the weekend so I'd just eat and eat and not good things, I get excited and look forward to ordering a take away as if it's the highlight of my day. Then I discovered Butterkist sweet popcorn and would eat 2 big bags a night, as soon as my daughter goes up to bed at 7 and the soaps are on I'll get out the popcorn which is 75grams of sugar per bag! I'd buy healthy food on my weekly food shop but would order take aways instead. 6 months I've been in this rut of eating bollocks, I only do 20 hours work a week and that's 2X 10 hour shifts in a prison which is a lot of walking and the occasional breaking up of fights but not enough to burn off the calories I was consuming. I'm a bridesmaid in august and have my next dress fitting next month and until recently I was almost 2 stone and a lot of inches bigger than my last fitting. I have a hen holiday in July to Marbella with a load of young dolly birds so I've had to pull my finger out.

I've bought a new protein this time I used to have isolate 90 which is good for weight loss but this stuff is casein whey which is supposed to be used by big bodybuilders before bed so they can get calories and protein in them whilst they sleep, it's quite a heavy slow release protein but I'm taking it in the day, a shake for breakfast and one for lunch and adding a teaspoon of this stuff called MCT oil cos that's like an appetite surpressant. I'm having a hot meal for dinner in the evenings cos that's the time I've recognised that I eat the most, I get 3 weight watchers bologneses for £2.50 in farm foods and I'll have one of them or a jacket with tuna and salad cream or scrambled egg next to toast (not on top cos I don't like soggy toast) The first two nights I was clucking like a junkie for food and I smoked about 12 fags just in an evening but in 17 days I've lost 10lbs already. The only training I've done the last 6 months is the classes I already do Krav Maga, jujitsu and I still do kickboxing but not as intensely as I used to do. I've figured out why I was eating so much and it was loneliness and boredom, got into a routine of eating shit, felt like I had nothing else in my life to occupy me so got excited by eating certain foods, all the bad shit, never get excited to eat a bastard salad. I'm still lonely and get bored in the nights but I think I've shrunk my stomach a bit from the first few days of having such a strict calorie reduction, some nights I had to go to bed at half 7 cos my belly was rumbling so much I had to sleep so I wouldn't eat but now I'm fine. I'm also still having my massive beef dinner over my aunties every Sunday, it is important to have one day where you can have a blow out, it actually helps you lose weight, you'll bloat after all the extra carbs but will lose weight in the following days. Psychologically it's good to know that you can have one day where you can eat whatever you want (within reason)

My problem now is gonna be maintenance because I've put on this extra weight I've created extra fat cells in my body and if you think of a fat cell as a balloon full of fat you can lose the fat and empty the balloon but it's still there ready to be filled up again that's why it's easy to put weight on again after a diet because the cells are already there and will fill up quickly, the only way you can get rid of fat cells is liposuction. I'm gonna have to increase my training to maintain the shape I'll get to cos I've never been this size in my life, 3 weeks ago I weighed 10 stone 11lb, the day I gave birth I weighed 10 stone 7lb! I'm just hoping that when I get back to my normal size I won't want to eat badly every night, I think I'm over it via I haven't eaten any of my daughters Easter eggs for 3 weeks and there's still 2 buttons eggs there and a massive aero egg just on my coffee table, I stare at them every night but the temptation to eat them has gone!

My advice is quite shit cos the calories I'm consuming are a bit on the low side but I need to lose wieight fast for this dress fitting. If you want proper advice I can tell you all about macros, carb refeeds, creating calorie deficits and stuff but the main thing for me was recognising when I wanted to eat and why, cos I was eating even when I weren't even hungry, honestly my sister was looking at me one night in disgust cos I had two Chicago town pepperoni pizzas at emmerdale, then my bag of pop corn, then cooked myself scampi and curly fries, then had two corn on the cobs, then a tube of BBQ Pringles, then 2 kiwis then sat there with my spoon and tub of b&j chocolate fudge brownie ice cream and drinking a litre bottle of yahoo banana milkshake!

Yes, I like eggs. I eat a lot of omelettes and scrambled eggs.

Thanks for the post. I'll read through it when my brain is working. I'm a bit zonked at the moment.
