Strange place to post this kind of question I know, but there's got to be someone on here that knows.

If I supply good to EU, on a private basis, what happens to the VAT?

I have a friends who's after some apple stuff, and I'm just trying to work out the logistics

No, my company's not done the turnover yet for me to warrant VAT registration

"No, my company's not done the turnover yet for me to warrant VAT registration"

You don't actually need to be at the income level to register for VAT.

Yeah, I know, but once I get to that level then I must be VAT registered. I will be VAT registered at some point in the not too distant future.

If you don't charge VAT on the goods, then the other country night charge their rate instead. Depends if you get caught. Most of the stuff i buy online i don't pay VAT on or get charged any.

To be 100%, I'm not sure, I'm really not very good with how VAT works etc, hence my original question lol

Thanks, I'm not sure how it all works.

I'll probably just buy it, ship it out as a gift or something, and get them to cover my costs, sounds like the easiest way
