Today since we lost Ayrton Senna. Not only one of the greatest F1 drivers ever but also a fantastic humanitarian.

The current crop of F1 drivers could do with taking a leaf out of his book.

We also shouldn't forget Roland Ratzenberger who died the day before during qualifying...

Yep - I remember the weekend well. RIP to both.

I had the pleasure of seeing Senna's 1991 championship winning MP4/6 up close and personal in a museum. Even now it amazes me how those things can handle the punishment they do on the track and stay in one piece. Any variation in their intended path and it can be disastrous (as we've seen on many occasions).
