Anyone been watching the re run of this great series Sunday 9.30 BBC3?

It was episode 3 this week and I've missed it up to now, bloody Beeb didn't give it any advance publicity.

I saw the original pilot episode the other week though.

The thing is its as pertinent today as it was 30 years ago.

Up North :-)

I watched all 6 episodes back to back the week before last and i will be honest and say it upset me. Its very dark and leaves you thinking about society and where we go wrong. Yosser Hughes is so memorable that he is still known 30 yrs later. I loved the bit with the priest called Dan and was very disturbed when Yosser lost his kids. Very powerful and poignant drama which left me thinking about what i should be doing to help people who haven't had the fortune in life i have.

That is really great to hear that it has inspired in some way.

So many people want to scapegoat folks not doing as well as themselves and say sod em.

Good for you.

It's a powerful TV series that has real resonance today.
