Well just a general feeling about the wink system. Do any of you use them, like them, loath them, want them removed.

My feelings are from a single man it's a way for a heads up who might fancy you plus very harmless.

What your thoughts x x

Yeah it's a good way to have interests. A lot of winks get ignored because people don't read out profile. But we have had a few winks that have led to more.

Overall we like them.

Winks are OK for us couple-to-couple, if we both decide to wink then one (or both) of us will go to a message too.

Nice and simple system. We like winks, it means somebody in the other couple *probably* read our profile.

When we had the profile open to single men though, the winks basically just got ignored, they were too many and mostly from people who hadn't read the profile so it was worthless even looking back at them. (Sorry single guys!)

I don't mind them.

But people who wink have probably winked a 100 others too so I don't pay that much attention.

Unless it's someone I know. Or familiar with.

I like the wink system, like sending them and receiving them, and what started off as some flirty winking has lead to some good meets on here.

I like them, if we get a wink from another couple, 9 times out of 10 we will have a look at their profile and pictures. If we like them we'll either message them or wink them back

I have them just never looked at them, id rather someone just messaged instead and see how it goes from there

so dont see the point in winks being used and I never have winked at anyone

I for one don't send them, but then again I don't send preemptive messages. I don't mind receiving them but have only responded to a few, nothing more than a few messages exchanged afterwards due to distance.

Sure it gives me a confidence boost to receive them, but would much sooner have a message, even if it's "Fancy a fuck"

We quite like winks from people that match what we are looking for as explained in our profile.

If they don't match we will just delete the wink.

Best meet I've had on hear started with a wink. So, much as they don't always register, I have a fondness for them.

We like them and we send them to show interest and to give the third party the option to look at us and ignore if theyre not interested or they can wink back and we will send a way.. Its a great way of showing mutual interest I believe x

There is definitely a divide amongst everyone on them. It's just a tool to show interest in the person / persons.

What other method do you think would be a better alternative to a wink?

Winks are OK.

I find that they can be a useful tool for expressing an interest in someone, especially if you might be a little nervous about sending a message straight off.

I sometimes use them and I always look at the profile of anyone who might send me one. If they interest me, I might either wink or message back.

We don't really use winks much as they tend to be ingnored. I feel they are just a way of expressing an interest, much like a wink face to face

I think they work better for single men receiving than giving, i take them as a hello and an invitation to start a conversation, however i think women and couples must get so many they are just annoying and soo prefer a well written message to stand out.

It's easy to send a wink; sh*t, I could do 40 in a minute.

It takes much more to grab my attention; a carefully constructed message is always going to get a reply.

A wink is unlikely to achieve anything, other than deletion.

Dr Nasty

Post Script: Apologies to anyone that has received a wink from me when I have been typing on my iPad.

But you already know that.
