I'd love to get covered in chocolate and we're heading to Bruges on Saturday, does anybody know of a chocolate spa there etc?

Actually it's a pretty nice town.

Lots of cafe bars and if course chocolate.

Pastries to die for

plus there's the Tintin museum on the sea front

lots to do, stand on the river bridge and you can look back and see all three cathedrals, some lovely architecture, places to eat, a rib restaurant that just sells ribs and you just keep ordering as many as you like.

It won't be very busy at this time of year so you will get your bearings well

If it's the same rib restaurant we went to I'd advise booking. It's all you can eat ribs and they just keep coming and coming.

It did nothing but rain when I went. Beautiful weather. Shame I got soaked. Found a really nice chocolate shop that actually made the chocolate n not bought them in. Spent £50. Worth it though. Chocolate didn't make it home though. Felt sick too.

There was a restaurant on the main square where the Maître d' would guess your nationality before you spoke, and hand you a menu tailored to you, in your language. Though it was sad the English one was all 'egg n chips'

(we demanded a Belgian one instead)

Went down on one knee in the back of a horse-drawn carriage to Mrs ddc on Valentine's Day.

She said 'no', natch, and doesn't even remember the enormous chocolate angel. Nor that incident in the hotel sauna...

Chocolate? surely Bruges is all about the BEER. There's probably a beer spa somewhere where you can bathe in the stuff, and of course you can sample it too. Get a proper beer - and a gay beer for your gay friend too, of course
