Surely when you adopt a child that is best suited is chosen for you.

If I was in a situation where adoption was the only way I could have a child I wouldn't even think about looks.

If that's the case the maybe you are looking at ugliness that cannot be seen.

And the point was not inappropriate

Some people don't find any children beautiful

I've had 3

Beauty isn't of any consequence to me

But I don't see that it wasn't appropriate

Moira Hindley and Fred West found lots of other people's children beautiful

That's a fact

However much people dislike it it's a fact

And yes it's a forum on adoption but also esthetics

My parents adopted me. Im neither beautiful and not always a nice person either. They loved me for me, with my stroppy teenage years and the usual stuff that goes with growing up. I had a good childhood and everything I asked for. If it wasnt for them, Id have been in a childrens home in Jersey, until 16, then out to fend for myself.

I always said if I could never have children myself, like my mum, then id adopt and accept any child I was lucky enough to be considered fit to adopt. I will apologise for my comments but its one of the things I will always feel strongly about.

I'd adopt the one that you seem to naturally bond with.

With having a natural kid you have to put up with what you get.

When adopted at least the kid knows they were picked.

All children are beautiful.

Was Hitler a beautiful baby?

Stalin?

Pol Pot?

Imagine being able to travel back in time to April 21st, 1889, Braunau am Inn, Austria and you know what the little mite is going to become and all those who will die at his hands. What would you do?

No of course not, but you are also talking about children.. The biggest miracles on our planet in my opinion. Children are children..

People that are referring to all those bad people.. Surely they aren't talking about their looks? They are talking about their personalities? But anyway everyone has an opinion.

My mum said there was a lot of red tape, (back in the 60's) a shame there isnt a lot more now. Some adopted kids now, get treated very badly.

Ok going against the Grain here, I would go for the Child with Personality because at the end of the day when going for adoption you have to make a choice, Yes all Children are wonderful in their own way but you can only choose one.

I don't believe in ugly people, just varying degrees of attractiveness.

But my view on the OPs question is that kids change so much as they grow that I don't think the beautiful/ugly binary makes sense.
