Now lets open a hornets nest.

Why does this site seem to attract a large number of Timewasters?

Timewasters i mean ppl that arrange to meet you then come the day, hours before they cancell. We understand and respect things do happen in cases of an emergency but of late its getting a regular thing

do ppl get more of a sexual thrill arranging to meet someone then letting them down?

We are here to meet ppl have fun, make new friends and when we say we will meet we will do so.

How does other ppl feel about this site are they experiencing the same issues? Is it time to start charging a membership fee to stop the time wasters?

Timewaster is such a subjective term, can mean one thing to one and something else to another

i personally take each person at face value. if they cancel a meet but give me reasons why then i accept that. life happens, we have to accept that sometimes things conspire against us and we are unable to make pre arranged meets etc

yes if they dont ring or text or msn or email on here etc then they are idiots and worth blocking so you dont make the same mistake again

been here a long time, never had a "timewaster" yet, Maybe these ppl you describe prefer just to "talk" about it, but wont admit thats as far as they want to go?

Its so boring, I can only think they get off on the idea as oppose to the actual meeting.

Still i`m not sure charging would make the difference, this site is so vibrant because it is free,

Just makes the hit rate harder.....for quality.

I`m speaking from a single woman perspective

Like i said on outher forum theres a post on about timewsters too.... its not just because its free you get loads here ... you get them on all the sites and the pay sites there are loads and loads ... and i think some of it is people are Dreamers thay dream of shagging loads of sexie people and dont have the gutts to do so ,,, or married and cant just Dreamers x jo xx

well life is too short to get hung up over people cancelling meets etc bigger fish to fry and all that

We've had this before being let down in the past and even were let down on saturday morning past but guess what we remove them from our friends list,block them and moved on

The only timewaster I met is me - on a Sunday morning when I am wasting time when I sould be doing useful things.

Seriously, we have not met many - maybe because we chat to people and get to know them a bit first?

Thats what we like to do chat, see if we click, attraction by seeing face pics, then when all happy arrange meeting socially or otherwise.Never expect fun just dont like our time wasted when its so far and between where young children are involved

We don't class people who have given warning that they won't be able to make a meet as timewasters.

Now if they had not turned up and not let you know, then for us that would be a timewaster.

We agree and in our case we were informed twice by this couple that they could not make it but on the morning we fire of a text and went to the place but no show so it's the case ah well their loss and move on.

There will always a case were a cpl or a single person cannot make it but it's always nice to get a text or a phone call letting you know.

But gotta say that fab is a great place and we've met some great people

I do not believe this site has more timewaster than any others.

I have had my fair share who would string me along and ask me to keep a weekend free for them, for them to change their mind due to whatever issues they may have.

I am not so stupid nowadays, and if nothing is firm up a couple of days before, I would inform them the meeting is off and would then look for fun elsewhere.

And if I cannot find fun, there is always batch cooking to do and a house to tidy, so I'll be busy one way or another!

we've been let down a few times, but to honest, we expect to be on a site like this.

You are going to get the wannabies and the dreamers, but let's be honest, do they really waste your time?

I would only answer "Yes" if you are waiting around at the meeting point, and they don't show. If someone cancels before you leave home it's really just an inconvenience.

From the number of regular complaints that contradict our _iew, it's pretty obvious that different people see it differently, but that's life, isn't it

I've been swinging three years and not encountered a time waster. As I've said on the other 101 threads on this topic, if you're coming across timewasters time and time again I'd question the way I select playmates!

People are to quick on to say people are timewasters,sometimes things do come in the way of a meet,we always say kids and work come first and if any of those things cropped up then we wouldnt hesitate in cancelling even if it was short notice.

Totally agree with what Sassy says..

We have had a couple of timewasters and that was years ago when we first started swinging,now we have ways of ing them out more or less straight away.

But i wouldnt class anyone a timewaster if they had to cancel a meet.

after all what is the common demoninator in the end, its the person doing the picking!.......

I reckon I could count the amount of timewasters I have had on one hand in the 6-7 years I have been swinging.... and thats because If I am not 110% sure, I will keep talking and talking until I am....

Heck that probably makes me a timewaster in certain peoples eyes.... but I will do it my way since that works for me......

Definition for me of timewaster...someone who doesn`t literally show up after arranging a meeting

...chatting plenty phone and otherwise. Meeting to see if its mutually beneficial.

you have to bear in mind that sometimes you have to cancel , and theres no way of avoiding it

i had to phone a guy and cancel once who was only 30 minutes away on the motorway , by the time he turned round he may have well drove past the window lol

but if you both suddenly develop dehli bellie what can you do ?

To me a timewaster is someone who tells you they want to meet and then after arranging a time and place they don't turn up and don't tell you they won't be turning up.

People who cancel meets, even at short notice, are not really timewasters... they are just unrealiable.

Let's say you arranged a meet and was really looking forward to going, until you spotted the couples profile on another site just hours before your arranged meet time. On this other profile they have just had a bareback gangbang & scat party the night before you are meeting them.

If you now decide to cancel... does that make you a timewaster?

Some time ago I had a meet arranged and the guy rang a few hours before just to check it was still on. He then spent the next 45 minutes slagging off his ex, telling me all the trouble she had caused for him at the club, who'd got involved....... and this had only happened a week or so before. He went on and on about it.... so I told him not to bother coming as I had changed my mind. I didn't want to spend my time with someone carrying so much new baggage.

Does that make me a timewaster?

we too are on a paid site and have been on the scene since 2001 , where ever u go u seem to get them. just thought i would post a thread on the subject and see what interesting reponses i get

from reading different profiles "Timewasting" seems a regular thing here.

It's ruddy annoying, had 4 guys let me down so far, 2 stood me up and 2 cancelled at last minute.

Guys if you can't make it, give us a bit of warning, don't leave it until the last minute, or not bother to show

we think guys get cold feet at last minute. Like the idea of meeting and fucking someone elses partner. When time comes they bottle it.

I think someone said it above but everyone has a different definition of what a timewaster is

From not replying to a mail to not turning up to a meet and a 1000 different opinions between those can give someone cause to call someone else a timewaster
