Strawberry bon-bons...the old-fashioned type with proper toffee-like consistency when you chew them, and covered in a layer of strawberry-flavoured icing sugar...

Barats shrimps. A few years ago the main storage depot for Barats was flooded and their shrimps were scarce. It was a disaster. I was shrimpless for about 8 months

Midget Gems Interesting I thought they had long Gone, I remember once I had midget gems Pushed in to the side of some lovely Italian Ice cream on a cornet thee other Side of 45 years ago in cumbria its Funny how some things you can Remember And other things you forget.. Childhood Memories..

Just reading this thread takes me back,does anybody have a corner shop where the jars where behind the counter and they weighed them and gave you them in a paper bag.And u were well pissed off when they put one back because it was too heavy.

Yes I remember A local sweetshop that had jars like that in some of the jars we had sherbets, Raspberry, strawberry, lemon, perhaps there were other flavours too but I loved the way the colours spiraled together when mixed in the jars Sometimes it certainly was,nt when it Came out the jars..
