I always start any of my messages with 'my felicitations on a wonderful profile'.

Guaranteed winner, I'm beating them off with a sh*tty stick

I think there's a difficulty in breaking the ice - once the ice is broken there shouldn't be any problems!

In order to break the ice you need to suss out the person whom you are directing your interest at!! I imagine that the average fabber gets 100 messages a day with one word greetings, so indeed does look for something different - others look for a dirty headline - unfortunately, everyone is different and everyone has a different idea of what is attractive in a message!!

Personally I try to be polite, but that doesn't seem to count for much on here!! Lol

I guess the only way your going to get any attention is trial and error and see what works and what doesn't!!

It shows you're not interested enough to make any effort.

If someone can't take the time and give some thought to writing a message to _me_ as an individual, rather than as just another woman they hope to fuck, I can't be bothered to reply.

OP I think you are missing the point about what people are saying here. It isnt that you say Hi ,Hey,Hello its that alot of people just get those words as a WHOLE message there isnt anything following the Hi or Hey .

Hi, or hello is a fine way to start.

How's you, is fine if you're five yeas old and don't know any better.

Hey is okay if you're shouting at someone who just stole your wallet.

If you're a male and initiating contact with a single female profile it is fine to start a message with any of the above. However, you must continue along the lines of "I've looked at your profile and think you look really hot. You're easily the best woman on this site and I can make you cum loads. I'm into everything on your likes list. When can we meet?"

If the single female profile has no pics and a single line of text simple put "I imagine" before each sentence.

If you're a single female initiating contact with a single male profile then a simple "x" will suffice.

I say hi back if i fancy them, funnily enough the conversation ends there.

People expecting me to start a conversation with them is the problem, i'm already busy on here and can't be bothered to entertain anyone who isn't entertaining to me, so yeah it can get you a response but then you have to put some effort in and these people don't or don't seem to be capable.

You see it a lot on here, people stating they're bored or looking for fun people when they are boring or not fun themselves, they're after being entertained and i'm not here to do that for them.

If I were to reply (which I admit I have done in the past) it goes something like this..

Them: hey how's you?

Me: good thanks, you?

Them: yeh good thanks

.... And there ends the conversation.

Well until you get the "hey we chatted a few months back, u free to meet now?" message
