Do they drive you mad?

They make me lose all concentration in what I'm doing

The beds at Mrs ddc's parent's house were always squeaky. It's a form of contraception I think

I'd rather have a squeaky bed than broken springs that go TWAAANGGG POP CRRRRGGHHH every time I move If I laugh it sounds like I'm getting fucked by a jackhammer

...Up on the Downs

I was pulling on a wooden headboard one night, tying to stop the squeaking, and a huge lump of it came off in my hand with a bang!! I handed it to my meet in the dark and then we just carried on, haha!

Luckily in the morning we saw it had been broken before and just stuck it back together!!

In a hotel with a squeaky bed, I tipped the base up against the wall and chucked the mattress on the floor

"In a hotel with a squeaky bed, I tipped the base up against the wall and chucked the mattress on the floor"

With a squeaky or banging bed, I find myself trying different positions and rhythms to try and avoid the noise. So off-putting.

Our kids often asked where there's were . . Now we've moved the bed an inch or 2 from the wall, and put the eldest furthest away from our room.. . They sleep less
