Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The North/South chippy divide thread got me hankering after fish and chips so we went at lunchtime (shhh, don't tell the kids).

I had whitebait and tempura prawns followed by a lobster salad. I stole chips from the haddock and chips plate and from the scampi and chips plate but I didn't have any of the pickled egg.

I didn't realise that there is a posh thread. However, as the chippy isn't posh just good quality it's irrelevant.

It's half a pizza dipped in batter then fried, hence the crunch name. A supper means it comes with chips. Very tasty.

I haven't really had a deep fried mars bar but I did try one when I was young. It was amazing

It was a giant Toblerone, individual huge triangles in tempura batter. I love tempura veggies (especially courgettes. This was ridiculously, dangerously delicious and so can never be repeated.

I was seeing a Glasgow girl for two years.....she seemed to think it was pretty normal for one.....and she liked them.....she had a few while I was seeing her....

You put pizza in batter and throw it in oil, it's greasy.

Batter soaks up oil as does dough....
